Biography

Kerry began her HR career at Abbey Life Assurance as their Recruitment Manager, progressing into the Employee Relations field where she gained experience of TUPE transfer, organisational change, grievance and disciplinary management and specialist ER advisory work with line managers and employees.A move to JP Morgan saw Kerry specialise further into the Employee Relations field as part of a dedicated Employee Relations team, advising on the range of employment cycle matters and including the delivery of workshops to line managers as well as support to the team of HR Business Partners.  Promotion to HR Business Partner with JPM led to experience of supporting the Investment Bank Operations Group with outsourcing/offshoring projects, annual reward/recognition reviews and implementation, resourcing and performance management projects in a demanding and fast paced environment.Kerry joined Arts University Bournemouth in 2006 in a specialist Employee Relations role.  When the University developed the HR Business Partner model, Kerry took on the role of HR Business Partner dedicated to supporting and advising on the people aspects of particular areas within the University.  The growth of operational work within the HR section led to the requirement for Kerry to undertake a role in parallel to her HRBP role, leading HR operations as the Head of HR.A reorganisation of the section in 2014 led to Kerry focusing more on the strategic aspects of HR at AUB and supporting the Vice Chancellors office with HR Partner aspects.

Professional practice

Kerry is responsible for supporting the University with the delivery of its strategic plan through effective strategic human resource management and planning.  Kerry has key responsibility for leading the HR aspects of organisational and cultural change, leading a team of professional HR Partners in support of the University’s strategic mission, vision and values.
