James studied Network Systems Management at Bournemouth University, spending his placement year in IT Support at a local manufacturing company Hamworthy Heating. After graduating, James worked as a Network Manager at a local Infant and Junior School then moved on to become a Technician at Avonbourne College.Looking for new challenges James went on to join the Mountbatten Institute Internship programme in New York City working for Citi Group Global wealth management in technology project management. As part of this programme James completed a Post Graduate Certificate in International Business. He has since held a number of IT roles within different organisations including Avonbourne and the Bishop of Winchester Academies. Most recently James worked for Christchurch and East Dorset councils as an IT Support Specialist working across twelve sites across Dorset.

Professional practice

As ServiceDeam Leader, James is responsible for providing leadership in the delivery of a proactive and reactive ServiceDesk provision for students and staff.
