Jez Carter

Biography

Coming from a background in music, design/media and project/change management, Jez spent 7 years at AUB in the role of Executive Administrator for Academic Services (having also undertaken a number of secondments), before taking on his new challenge of Faculty Administrator for Media and Performance in 2014.

 

Having studied Graphic Design and then Multimedia at HNC level, Jez went on to achieve a BA (Hons) degree in Art and Literature (focusing on Art History, or more specifically, Art of the Twentieth Century).Leaving a career in project/change management for an international insurance company, he tried his hand at starting his own design/media company, before beginning his employment at AUB in December 2004.

 

Jez has a keen interest in the creative arts [including architecture, art, design, film and animation, music and photography] and has aspirations of getting into creative and critical writing, for which he is studying towards another degree – BA (Hons) English Literature and Creative Writing.

Professional practice

In support of the University’s pre-sessional programme for International students, Jez has delivered a number of lectures discussing urban art in the context of art history.
