Harriet is currently the Technician Demonstrator for BA (Hons) Illustration, MA Illustration and BA (Hons) Drawing courses, providing support and teaching a variety of traditional mediums and digital practices. Harriet is experienced as a visiting tutor with an interest in pedagogic research and graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth with a Master’s degree in Graphic Design. She curated the show “Positive and Negative Space” at AUB; An inside look into the artist studio with work from BA (Hons) Drawing students in response to the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2018 exhibition.
Teaching & professional practice
Primarily from a Fine Art background, her current research pushes the boundaries between disciplines using the deep ocean and its organisms as a metaphorical domain. Using a wide range of mediums, she focuses on colonial entities and their ethology’s to act as consistent visuals for the interpretation of the current zeitgeist, the online social era, virtual data collections and the anthropology of Generation Z.
