Emma studied her degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Bournemouth University and subsequently commenced and completed a Management Training programme with pub chain JD Wetherspoon. However, having worked in hospitality management for over ten years Emma decided on a change of direction and to pursue an ongoing interest in Human Resource Management. Working initially with South Western Ambulance Service as an HR Officer, Emma undertook postgraduate study to advance her knowledge and career in this field. Emma complete her Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management in 2014 which, alongside her move into the HR Partner role at Arts University Bournemouth, enabled her to obtain Chartered Membership of the CIPD.
Emma is the HR Partner for a defined client base at AUB and using her HR knowledge and expertise provides professional HR Generalist support and advice covering the full spectrum of the employment cycle. This includes managing organisational change, recruitment and resourcing, performance management, reward and recognition and employee engagement to meet the University’s Strategic Plan and Objectives. Emma manages a wide range of employee relations cases as may be required and is a strategic change partner for the client base and will also lead and / or contribute to specific HR projects.
