As a Senior Lecturer in Photography, David began his career as an assistant to Brian Griffin and Craig McDean. Now a professional photographer and Senior Lecturer, David has developed his work in doctoral research at Ulster University. David has previously taught at Ulster University and Falmouth University and is currently Level 4 Tutor at AUB.
His research into embroidered wrestling costumes of the North of England has featured as part of a touring exhibition at Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool (January 2017) and Somerset House, London (November 2017).
David’s work is held at the Archive of Modern Conflict (London), Birmingham Central Library and Tullie House Collections (Carlisle). His work has been exhibited across the UK and Europe and he has photographed for leading, quality newspapers in England and France.
