Biography

Having completed her first degree at Sussex University, Anna studied design at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion. Then, after working for a short spell in the fashion industry, she went on to complete her MA in Fashion Theory at LCF. Now that she has taught in specialist art and design institutions for over a decade, she has extensive subject knowledge relating to the fields of fashion and textiles history and theory.In parallel with her academic career, Anna has several years of experience working as a writer and researcher at The Times, and also at The Guardian. This industry experience has not only equipped her with strong writing skills, but with a unique understanding of the UK media.

Professional practice

Anna has been teaching in specialist HE art and design institutions since 2003 and in March 2012 attained a PG Cert (HE) from CLTAD (UAL).

Additionally, she has a Certificate in Media Practice (2004) from Birkbeck College, University of London.

Research Specialism

Anna’s research interests are primarily concerned with fashion writing, TV representations, and latterly, the exploration of different models of sustainability within the fashion system. Publications and conference papers are listed below:
