Schools outreach

Our inspiring and informative schools outreach activities have been designed to support your students in finding out more about Higher Education and creative pathways for their future.

We have a range of presentation topics which can be tailored to your specific requirements. Our outreach team can travel to your school or college to deliver these sessions in-person or via an interactive virtual session. These sessions could also be combined with a visit to our campus.

How do you know which institution - and which course - is right for you? This talk will help your students navigate the options available to them and provide them with resources, tools and tips to make confident and well-informed choices about their next steps.

What do creative arts universities look for in a portfolio? In this presentation, we’ll show your students how to put together a portfolio that showcases the best of their creative ability, discuss some inspiring examples and explain the formats students can use to present their work.

This presentation will guide your students through the UCAS application process. We will cover the key dates you need to know and all stages of the application process, from researching institutions to submitting the application.

Personal statements are a crucial part of applying to Higher Education. We’ll show your students how to shine in a personal statement for creative subjects and how they can make sure

This presentation can be delivered to both students and parents and will clarify the often-daunting world of Student Finance. We’ll explain the jargon and talk through the process of making a loan application, the financial support available and how repayments work. We’ll also cover the key considerations when it comes to the cost of living as a student.

It can be hard to imagine what life at university will really be like. In this talk, we’ll cover everything students need to know about how to prepare for this next stage of their life and what to expect when they get there.

This presentation introduces Arts University Bournemouth and our range of specialist creative courses as well as an insight into life as a university student at a creative arts institution.

Besides nurturing a talent and refining a craft, creative degrees can equip students with a diverse and well-rounded skillset that leads to an exciting future. This talk will uncover the many benefits of studying a creative subject at university and help students discover the options available to contribute their creative studies into Higher Education.

The road to a fulfilling creative career is always unique and rarely linear. In this inspiring talk, your students will hear the personal stories of artists and makers working across a range of disciplines and receive expert guidance on how to tap into their own creative passions.

Artists and makers are fundamental to creating so many aspects of our society – some a little more surprising than others. Your students will learn about the many exciting career pathways within the creative industries and how they could turn their creative talent into a rewarding career.

UCAS and Higher Education Conventions

Our team travel around the country to meet students at UCAS Fairs and other Higher Education Conventions to meet with students. Come and visit us at the event closest to you.
