We are here to help you get settled quickly in the accommodation that’s right for you.
You’ve got plenty to think about when you arrive without worrying where you’re going to live. So we make a huge effort to help our first year students find the home that’s right for them.
Just as you’re not all studying the same course, we know our students like different styles of places to live. There is a range of halls of residence, or shared and rented housing for students to choose from.
Halls are particularly popular with first year students. All our Halls offer something unique – from the bustle of the town centre, to the quiet of residential streets.
Whichever one you choose, there are regular buses to bring you home, well-marked cycle routes for the flat(ish!) journey to AUB and cycle racks for your bike.
Alternatively, a number of our first year students look to live in shared rented accommodation in areas including Bournemouth, Boscombe, Winton, Charminster and Wallisdown.
Living in private rented accommodation can often be cheaper, with some students choosing to stay in the same house throughout their time at AUB.
We can put you in touch with other students looking for accommodation and introduce you to local landlords during our dedicated accommodation days over the summer.
We also have a specialist house-hunting website with properties from local accredited landlords.
