Dr. Kirsten Hardie’s professional output

‘For the Love of Graphics’ Exhibition

Exhibition or Installation – Published 23rd Mar 17

For the Love of Graphics exhibition, 23 Jan – 08 Mar. 2017, Northwest Gallery, Arts University Bournemouth.

Co-curated by Liam Arscott / William Broomfield / Katherine Dadswell / Oliver Gear / Lewis Hales / Emily Hood / Christopher Kyte / Aaron Morris / Andrea Rizzotto / Jacob Sutton / Eleen Wang and tutor Dr Kirsten Hardie

This exhibition celebrated a love of graphic design through a showcase of international historical and contemporary graphic design examples. It presented design work that is revered and cherished by Level 5 BA (Hons) Graphic Design students who worked collaboratively – in partnership with lead curator Dr Kirsten Hardie.

Each exhibit was carefully considered and sourced, in many instances the work on show was the result of students’ contact with international designers and the subsequent generous donation and loan of design work.

The For the Love of Graphics exhibition is an activity that usually takes place annually and has been a course activity created and led by Dr Hardie for a number of years. The exhibition is a non-assessed, extra-curricular activity and is managed and designed by students throughout.
