Our Research - Overview
Our Research

Our flourishing research and scholarship culture celebrates and enables original investigation; extending knowledge fields and developing new understanding within the arts.

Research Network

Our Research Network brings together a range of researchers, academic staff, postdoctoral and graduate students to develop their common interests in an emerging or strategically significant research themes within art, design, media and performance.

We currently have three Research Networks:

  • Black Mirror: Black Mirror is a research network based at AUB. The intent of the network is to explore the influence and role of enchantment, esotericism, the occult and magic in modernist and contemporary art.
  • Stitching Together: The Stitching Together network of researchers, professional textile practitioners, project commissioners and enthusiast textile maker groups aims to generate improved critical understandings of participatory textile making as an emerging methodological approach used in cross-disciplinary research.
  • AUB Human: AUB Human connects artists and creative practitioners who share a desire to bring about positive change for global good.
