Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe Festival (BEAF), Bournemouth’s biggest independent arts festival, returns throughout April and May 2018 for 10 days of arts and cultural offerings.

28th April – 7th May 2018, Various Locations Across Bournemouth

PROUD SPONSORS

AUB are proud sponsors of this exciting festival, which brings together exhibitions, events, performances, workshops and gigs around Bournemouth’s urban and coastal hotspots. A huge platform for Bournemouth’s diverse selection of talent, AUB’s students and staff alike are involved in the festival in a big way.

BIGGER THAN EVER

BEAF Festival organisers are delighted to offer a “greater and more vibrant programme of arts and cultural activities” this year.

Festival Director, Carol Maund, said: “the impact of the University on the local cultural landscape is significant, as seen by the number of current students, alumni and lecturers taking part in this year’s BEAF festival.

We look forward to continuing to develop strong links with the university, particularly with the launch of the Boscombe Contemporary Art Centre (BCAC), a new flagship contemporary arts space curated by BEAF. We look forward to collaborating with the university on some exciting projects at BCAC over the coming year.”

Trac Pawley, works at AUB and is one half of theatre performance duo Language, Timothy! She explained: BEAF provides an opportunity for artists from different backgrounds to develop and present their work. Bournemouth needs this independent festival; a platform that enables any local artist to share their work with a wider audience.”

PRIVATE VIEW EVENING

BEAF would like to invite everyone to the private view and launch of BCAC on Saturday 28 April from 5pm starting at the Police Box at Boscombe precinct, followed by the ‘Art Trail’ and finishing at Martin Coyne’s projection, Flow, at 8pm. (See map in gallery.)
