BA (Hons) Interior Design and Architecture graduates have been talking to AUB after their London Summer Shows. Here Paula Alonso discusses her work
Can you tell me about your show?
My work is a cultural and artistic centre that aims to promote co-working culture and provide a space for creators to showcase their work to the wider community and not be a closed artistic space but rather integrated in society. It’s divided into three different levels, the first one is sculptural, the second is for exhibitions and the third one is a working space. The main concept for the project was how the different areas would interconnect with each other, meaning that the projects and activities are being done by everyone.
Can you tell me a little about your time at AUB?
When you finish, you realise how much you have learned because of how you were always pushed to achieve your best. You can explore your uniqueness from the start and my advice would be to not be afraid.
What do you plan to do now you are finished?
I’m going to work in Indonesia for a bit and then I’d like to work in Berlin.
