MA Commercial Photography Course Leader in AOP50 Exhibition
Professor Paul Wenham-Clarke, MA Commercial Photography Course Leader, has been featured in The Association of Photographers 50th Anniversary (AOP50) exhibition.
The AOP50 exhibition opened its doors on the 16th April and celebrates work from a selection of the world’s most respected photographers. The display comprises images in the form of portraiture, advertising campaigns, documentary photography and more.
The exhibition and Paul’s submission were also highlighted in an article from the BBC News website this month, under the publication’s ‘In Pictures’ category.
‘OUR HUMAN CONDITION’
One of 50 thought-provoking images, Paul’s image depicts sisters Hattie and Charlotte in 2017, from his ‘Our Human Condition’ project. This on-going series documents the positive and negative sides of being human, whilst also studying the relationship between siblings with genetic conditions.
Alongside his position at AUB, Paul is a professional photographer in his own right and previously exhibited at TheGallery, in addition to spots at the Victoria & Albert Museum and National Portrait Gallery. His growing roster of accolades includes Gold Award Winner at The Association of Photographers Awards (2010), and Taylor-Wessing Award from the National Portrait Gallery (2013).
THE ASSOCIATION OF PHOTOGRAPHERS
The Association of Photographers was formed in 1968 as the Association of Fashion and Advertising Photographers. The association’s message is – ‘to promote and protect the worth and standing of its members, to vigorously defend, educate and lobby for the interests and rights of all photographers, especially in the commercial photographic industry.’
