BA (Hons) Graphic Design graduates have been talking to AUB after their London Summer Shows. Here Will Broomfield discusses his work

Can you tell me about your show?

I have built a concept for a heart monitor for children and the way it works is there is a technology developed by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and Microsoft that allows temporary tattoos to be converted into devices using nanotechnology, so essentially, I’ve made a mobile ECG (electrocardiogram) that children can design themselves before an operation or for at-home monitoring. It then links up to a smart device via NFC (Near Field Communication) or Bluetooth. Then from there that data can be sent off to their cardiologist, either manually or automatically. I won the Creative Conscience Award for this and was shortlisted or was highly commended for two other awards.
