BA (Hons) Graphic Design alumna, Sarah Wickings, graduated from AUB in 2017.

Though it has only been a year since graduating, Sarah is already making an impact in the art and design industries. A Freelance Graphic Design and Collage Artist, she recently had work published in her first book, ‘Mix & Match’. We caught up with Sarah to find out more about her career and projects, and how she benefited from her time at AUB.

Congratulations on being published in your first book! How did it happen?

It actually happened while I was in my final year at AUB. Sandu Publishing based in Hong Kong got in contact and asked if I’d like to be part of their first book on contemporary collage. I checked out some other books they’d published and was impressed with the range, so I was excited to be involved.

Can you explain a little about what you do and how (if applicable) your role fits in with the organisation you work for?

I’m a Freelance Graphic Designer and Collage Artist. I work from my home studio mostly, but sometimes I use co-working office spaces. I’m currently working part-time as Junior Freelance Designer for made by blah. It works well as it gives me some spare days during the week to work on my own jobs with my clients. I also recently got back from a month in New York networking, and I’m hoping to gain some experience at agencies out there, this summer onwards.
