Saturday 10th March, 10am – 1pm, AUB Conference Centre F101/2

This Saturday, in collaboration with the Dorset Writers’ Network (DWN), we are hosting a free open house session on the AUB campus.

This unmissable event is a prime opportunity to network with fellow writers, while sharing experiences, advice, and those all-important writing tips. There will also be two knowledgeable one-hour workshops from authors, Maria Donovan and Peter Roe.

USING MODERN MEDIA TO ADVANCE OUR STORIES

Peter Roe will be leading a workshop session about the uses of technology to inform and advance stories. Beneficial for all styles of writer, attendees will leave this session with a plethora of new writing tools.

PITCH PRACTICE

Peter’s session will coincide with Maria Donovan’s insightful workshop about the art of pitching. Through her expertise, she will provide you with the tools to develop a convincing description of your writing project, while gaining an understanding of the expectations of readers, agents, publishers and booksellers.

FORGING NEW CONNECTIONS

Not only is this event completely free, it includes free parking and refreshments, and access to the free workshops for early arrivals.

BA (Hons) Creative Writing Course Leader, James Cole, says:

“I’m delighted to welcome the DWN to AUB, forging new connections and launching new opportunities for local writers, members of the public, and our students. I’m looking forward to seeing what exciting projects could emerge from this event.”
