Brazilian animation festival, Anim!Arte has awarded AUB student animation project, The Queens’ Tale third place in the 2017 ‘International Students, Maxi’ competition.

Anim!Arte is a festival dedicated to animated short films, with a maximum film duration of 15 minutes. This exciting international event is for young adults and children who create animations for the same age group.

For international students, there are two categories: ‘Maxi’ for entrees over 18 years, and ‘Mini’ for entrees under 18 years. The best international submissions are awarded Anim!Arte trophies and certificates.

The Queens’ Tale was screened as part of the ‘Maxi’ competition to a succession of audiences in the Brazilian cities of Rio de Janeiro, São Luís and São Paulo. The award ceremony is available to watch on the AnimArte FB page.

The Queens’ Tale is an inspiring contemporary animation set in a colourful fantasy world. Elven Princess Lianna has come of age and a group of eligible bachelors must complete a series of tests to win her hand in marriage. However, Lianna isn’t looking for a prince – it is a dashing princess who takes her eye.
