In June, we were awarded Gold by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). The TEF is a new scheme for recognising excellent teaching and we celebrated in our own unique way. Read the full story.
We were proud to host Lucienne Day: Living Design, in collaboration with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation, to celebrate one of Britain’s most influential designers. The exhibition was curated by our Deputy Vice Chancellor Emma Hunt and Dr Paula Day. Read the full story.
Lord Norman Foster became an Honorary Fellow after working with BA (Hons) Architecture and BA (Hons) Modelmaking students. Students and staff from BA (Hons) Modelmaking were invited to attend the official launch of the Lord Norman Foster Foundation in Madrid in the summer. Read the full story.
Earlier this year we ran our annual 24-hour live brief with Bestival. Students worked together in cross-course teams to devise creative solutions responding to Bestival’s brief; ways to keep festivals green and clean. Read the full story.
In September, The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 ranked AUB the top Modern University in the South West. AUB’s campus is like no other and has been designed as a hub for creative specialists. Read the full story.
AUB has the joint highest graduate employment rate of any English University, achieving the rate of 98% employability in the Destinations of Leavers of Higher Education Survey, which reviews the destination of graduates six months after they have left the institution. Read the full story.
AUB was awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize in recognition as a centre of excellence and ‘distinguished degree level education in costume design for the UK’s leading creative industries’. Read the full story.
We launched AUB Human, a space where we celebrate social, ethical and sustainable creative practice. At AUB, our students and staff are using their skills to engage with some of the most pressing issues that are facing the human race today. Learn more.
