Creative Events Management Graduate: Lucy Woodbridge
Lucy Woodbridge
Head of Visitor Events, Natural History Museum
Graduated 2010
Lucy’s dynamic role at the Natural History Museum has included the creation of a four-month leaving party for Dippy the Diplodocus prior to his UK tour, a screening of Jurassic Park for 2,600 people and the museum’s first-ever New Year’s Eve party.
Previously, Lucy has been an award winner for Best Music Event and Best Public Event at the Event Production Awards for events broadcast nationally on BBC2.
The Events Management course at AUB provided her with great confidence on entering industry: “The course at AUB was really brilliant because it involved theory and practical work. I was really attracted by the live event work, we were actually out there as a team of students creating events from conception to completion”.
Giving one piece of advice to current students Lucy says: “When you graduate, get yourself out there as soon as possible, show you have an initiative, ambition, creativity and drive”.
