Arts University Bournemouth has won two top awards in recognition of its ground-breaking and innovative work.
AUB took gold for Best Website and Best Prospectus from a Specialist Institution at the prestigious Heist Awards for Education Marketing. It also won silver for Best Use of Innovation and Creative Thinking.
The judges highlighted the university’s creativity, which they said offered a real feel for the institution and delivered well to its target audience. The website was ‘a clear winner’ and the prospectus praised as ‘highly creative’.
Arts University Bournemouth’s Head of Marketing, Simon Pride, said, “This is an outstanding achievement for Arts University Bournemouth. It is a real step forward for the AUB brand and recognises our position, not just as a leading specialist institution, but a university which can compete alongside the very best in the country. We are delighted to have our core values of creativity and innovation recognised on a national stage.’
The awards, which were presented at a ceremony in Manchester, mark the end of a successful year for AUB – its first since gaining full university status in December. Not only was it shortlisted for seven Heist Awards, its students’ work was also recognised at New Designers and D&AD in London earlier in the summer.
It’s not the first time AUB’s creative marketing has won national recognition. It won a gold Heist award for Best Use of Innovation and Creativity for the live billboard campaign with urban artist Soap in 2012.
AUB was ranked first for creative universities by Which? University last year and is in the top ten of all universities in the country for employment after graduation.
