Join us for a conversation with Professor Paul Gough and Violet M. McClean, Gallery Curator.

This event will explore 'working' with Banksy's people, issues of media management, and much more.

Event Context:

The life and work of Banksy: Banksy first came to public attention in Bristol in the 1990's as a freehand graffiti artist before employing the stencil art techniques that have become their signature style. Carefully guarding their identity from the legal risks associated with graffiti, Banksy moved to London around 2000 where their work gained international notoriety in both the gallery and on the street. Banksy’s identity remains the subject of speculation.

This event is brought to you in collaboration with BA (Hons) Creative Events Management.
