Sculpted by years of volcanic activity, I was inspired by the unique scenery, clouds of water vapour and myriad of colourful minerals found at the Wai-O-Tapu ‘Thermal Wonderland’ Park in New Zealand. This was my first project as a third year student and so the 12 weeks were a great opportunity to refine my textiles skills, exploring a hybrid of digital and hand embroidery processes.
