In October we filmed a giant neon sign at Hengistbury Head beach for our latest campaign – The future needs someone like you.
The message to young people? The UK’s creative industries are worth £84.1 billion per year to the UK economy. Be part of it.
Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Stuart Bartholomew CBE said: “It is fair to say that the pipeline to the creative industries is under threat. It is more important than ever to encourage the pursuit of a creative life in order to protect the growth of industries that have become a vital contributor to the UK economy and cultural identity. A 20th century student of art and design, when asked ‘What do you make?’ would identify an artefact or product. We will be a creative nation in this new millennium of the 21st century when we add, ‘and we make a difference’, to this answer.”
