“Graduate Fashion Week was nerve wracking and really scary, but I think when your work is out there and you can see it as everyone else sees it, it’s really rewarding.
If someone told me last year I would be doing a fashion show I would have had no idea what to do, how to organise myself, but I think it was really organised the whole way through, you are really involved in the dresses, you can talk to the models about the clothing how to put it on and how you want them to be, and I think from that you got exactly what you wanted.
My favourite part of the course was that you could find your own style more and what you wanted to do, you were always pushed to do what you wanted to do and not be too commercial. The tutors are really good at supporting you, and helping you out with making, and your strengths as well as your weaknesses.
I would say 100% yes the course at AUB is worth doing, no question about it. I think with some bigger fashion courses some people can feel left out, with AUB we have a good amount of people, of tutors, and all you need to do is ask, and they will do everything they can, they go above and beyond. My favourite thing about studying in Bournemouth would be the people, and again the technicians, you can’t believe how great they are, they have helped me through this project like you wouldn’t believe, and I have made friends for life. Because it is a completely creative university, there are lots of people to collaborate with, and I think it is an experience you don’t get with a lot of fashion universities, so I am so glad I chose it.”
