Dreams are Rose’s primary source of research to discover the subject matter, then using her imagination she goes beyond her own experience to find answers to her questions.

For example, in The Swallow and the Rope project a rope was shown in the dream as a metaphor. Inspired by Mathew Barney and Joseph Beuys, and to encourage the story to unfold Rose made ropes out of hemp, glass and acrylic. Through the observation and interpretation of coincidences and metaphors all around her she contemplated the story, and finally presented it as a theatrically inspired performance.

Researching widely and continually making and analysing Rose navigates a landscape of hidden meanings that transform her experience of life. The aim of the presented work is to stimulate the audience through the magical timeless language of symbolism.
