Berlin can’t escape it’s chilling past, it deals with it in nearly every exhibition. I got to know more about the Berlin Wall, mainly taking it in as a monument itself to an era of separation. Other than history, Berlin has a love of type and it especially shows in the Buchstabenmuseum, which was a collection of large type used commercially for buildings and signs. I was shown a side of Germany I hadn’t seen before, its love of space a form.
