Residential Department Assistant – Design & Technology

Graduate / Alumni Teaching/Training – Published 21st Feb 17

We wish to appoint a departmental assistant for the academic year 2017-2018. Design and Technology is a very popular subject at all levels in the school and is very successfully taught. It is due to increasing numbers of pupils wishing to take the subject at GCSE and A-level that we need some extra supervision and help within the department to guide pupils with their practical work especially.

There is a real fizz and buzz about the D&T department at Clayesmore and this one year post could readily suit someone leaving university this summer with a degree in the right discipline who may be contemplating a career in teaching or for someone looking for a one year placement.

Clayesmore is a highly attractive place to come and work and you would find yourself in a very happy and friendly community. The pupils are delightful, and there are staff of all ages with whom to make friends, a good number of whom have responded to an advert such as you have seen over the last three years and have come straight from university.

You will be employed from September 2017 until 6 July 2018. Accommodation will be available at the school.
