3D Motion Designer

Tamlite is looking for an experienced 3D Motion Designer to join our expanding Design Studio. The candidate should have a good creative design eye with excellent attention to detail, self-motivated and proactive. This role would be ideally suited to a Graphic Designer who specialises in 3D Animation/Motion Design.

You will be an integral part of the Design Studio, working with Web and Product Development, to create a range of 3D product animations, scenarios, and photorealistic visualisations for customers, sales and E-learning material.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the creative process of; conceptualisation (scamps), storyboarding, animating and editing from a brief
  • Bring a CAD design (product or application) to life through 3D animation
  • Creating a variety of 3D product animations and real-life scenarios, texturing and creative animation sequences
  • Staying on track with emerging digital trends
  • Articulating and presenting creative ideas to the team
  • To take consistent product images that follow photography guidelines as required

Skills required for this role:

  • Ability to model, texture, light and produce realistic animated scenes
  • Able to build/manipulate 3D product models from a CAD file and turn into to a high quality 3D animation or image.
  • Create complex graphics, technical illustrations, animation and video content for our website, Apps and social media pages
  • Experience working with various computer programs such as; 3D Studio Max 2017 and/or 2018, Mental Ray, knowledge of rendering engines to create 2D and 3D animated objects
  • Confident working with the Adobe Creative Suite such as; After Effects, Cinema 4D, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Good understanding of the various applications of post-production in creating video from still and moving assets
  • Design-trained to understand typography, movement and layout
  • Proactive in asking questions to ensure brief is understood

The right candidate will have the following experience:

  • Degree in a digital design related subject: 3D animation, digital media, motion graphics, visual effects, gaming or film
  • Internship or placement experience would be desirable
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communications skills – verbal, written
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure whilst maintaining a calm, professional attitude
  • High level organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Team oriented with ability to work autonomously and take the lead in multiple design projects at once
  • Resourceful with aptitude for practical and innovative problem solving
  • Open to providing and receiving feedback
  • Working to tight deadlines
