University Music offers a wide range of musical opportunities to students and staff from AUB and Bournemouth University.

Two orchestras, three choirs, Big Band and various smaller ensembles rehearse weekly and give concerts both locally and in prestigious venues such as Winchester Cathedral.

A number of music scholarships are offered to talented musicians from AUB to give them the opportunity to progress to higher level musical qualifications such as the Associate and Licentiate Diplomas offered by Trinity College.

The award covers the cost of weekly lessons, exam entry fees and accompanists where required. It is hoped that we will also be able to offer tuition for the A.Mus.TCL Diploma in Academic Musical Analysis from January 2017.

To be considered for a scholarship you should have passed grade 8 (ABRSM or Trinity) and have an academic grounding in music (A level or ABRSM Grade 8 Theory).

If you receive an award, you will be expected to participate fully in the life of University Music and to attend at least one ensemble on a weekly basis.
