AUB YE Graduate Start Up company, ‘L–E’ presented their company idea in London to judges at the Young Enterprise National Start Up Finals.

Laura Schofield and Emma Caswell, from BA (Hons) Illustration, represented the Southwest region in the Young Enterprise National Start Up Finals on 14th May. Competing against eight other universities and colleges in the prestigious setting of One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, their company L–E is based on the concept of unique gift items where no two items are ever the same.

Laura and Emma plan to wrap a design agency around this concept as a way of developing a network of young illustrators and designers in order to help them find and share clients.

Leader of the Young Enterprise scheme for AUB, Kavita Hayton, said: “L–E’s passion and commitment to creative making was apparent to everyone and they gave an excellent presentation on their company idea to an audience of around 100 people. Unlike most of the other competitors from Business Studies courses, Laura and Emma used their learning in art and design to promote a very personal and creative vision of their company. We expect great things from them as they go into their third year in September.”
