The Intensive Foundation Diploma Summer Show celebrates the achievements of some of our International students, providing an exciting platform for them to showcase their final project work to the public.
The Intensive Foundation Diploma is a newly validated 6-month UAL course that builds on the existing model of Foundation Diploma within Preparation for HE. It provides an opportunity for students to engage with art, design and media methodologies and encourages risk taking and experimentation with new materials, approaches and principles. The course gives a strong creative grounding and works to develop an individual’s creative practice within a specialised environment.
It develops students as independent learners, helping them to diagnose their specialism and build a strong portfolio in preparation for progression to Degree level study.
The work exhibited in the show demonstrates the diverse range of disciplines within the Final Projects that are undertaken by our cohort of Intensive Foundation Diploma students:

THEGALLERY AND AUB
TheGallery works with courses right across the university on a variety of exhibitions, events and projects. IFD Summer Exhibition is another example of one of these projects that we have worked on with the curator and students. When working on a collaborative project we provide advice and support for the curatorial and technical aspects of the exhibition, as well as advice on event and project management.
TheGallery provides a national and international public platform for the arts within the sub-region as we promote the University’s shared passion for excellence in education, industry and the sector.
