The Arts University Bournemouth has been turned into a giant exhibition space for the annual HE Summer Shows that highlight the creative work from all the graduating arts, design, media and performance students.
From 22nd – 28th June, visitors are invited to come and view the innovative work of our talented ‘class of 2012’, before they graduate on Friday 29th June at Wimborne Minster. Work on show includes colourful, fantastical costumes that have been designed and made by Costume students for the Battle for the Winds Ceremony that marks the opening of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Weymouth at the end of July; award winning illustrations and designs that have been nominated for the renowned Design and Art Direction Awards in London; ground-breaking films and animations that will be sent to film festivals all over the world, and intricate replicas of the Queen’s Wedding and Coronation Dresses that were commmissioned for the Jubilee celebrations.
In addition to the Bournemouth show, a number of courses will be exhibiting their work at various shows across London during June and July, at venues including the UK’s largest graduate art and design show Free Range; New Designers; and D&AD New Blood, which showcases the best graduates in graphic design, visual communication, advertising, digital media, illustration, photography and other commercial creative arts.
