About this course

This exciting and unique workshop brings together traditional tactile techniques of printmaking and innovative digital technologies to give you the chance to experiment with a variety of bespoke artistic possibilities. The creative possibilities are endless.

Taught by our leading printmaking specialist, Donna Peters, you'll be introduced to the traditional and essential techniques of screenprinting. Alongside this, you'll explore innovative printing technology and digital formatting. When you apply the two together, you'll be astounded by the creative possibilities and the stunning artwork you can produce.

As this immersive course progresses, you'll utilise alternative processes that digital technologies offer, to complement and extend the creative image-making possibilities.

Delivered on our award-winning campus with access to specialist printmaking studios and digital suites, you'll unite these processes throughout the week and witness the benefits of how hybrid printing not only offers numerous aesthetic possibilities but speeds the process of producing high-quality pieces of bespoke artwork.

Your tutor, Donna, takes a less formal approach to teaching and where possible adapts sessions to meet the needs and different approaches of the class. This summer workshop is about encouraging a supportive, inclusive, and positive creative experience that allows students to flourish and maximise their creative potential.

In addition to course teaching hours, you'll be able to access our maker workshops in the early evenings to continue working on your creative pieces, if you wish.
