Don’t just take our word for it, hear from students about what life is like at AUB…
"It’s been good. It’s the first time I’ve been out of my country to study. I’m from India and I’ve always been with my family. It was a big deal for them, and for me! I was really nervous at the beginning but when I came here it was really...
“The first part of the course was all sorts of awesome stuff. We did life drawing, mark making in drawing, book binding, lino cuts and screen printing.
For the second part of the course, you can really choose what you want to do, for me that’s screen printing. I’d never really done screen printing before, I didn’t have access to such nice materials.
“I’ve been trying different things. I did this course because I didn’t know which subject I was interested in.
It was a good course, you can try different things and you can’t do that on other courses.
“For my final project I decided to do branding for sports here at AUB. My project is basically giving an identity to the sports here at the university; my whole concept is giving them representation.
I’m going on to study BA (Hons) Graphic Design here at AUB. My main focus for my Prep ADME project is logo and poster design.
“I really enjoyed my course because I could learn many different parts of art.
Before, I didn’t know about art, I just knew about what I was interested in. After this I’d like to go to university to study Make-up. If I have an offer from here, I’ll definitely go to this university.”
“I’m making a logo, actually for my mum, she had a condominium in Thailiand and she’s going to create another one.
I thought it might be a good idea to design a logo for the condominium and I’ll do corporate identity such as business cards. I was interested in Illustration but when I applied to this course, it made me realise I like Graphic Design as well. The course has made me experiment with different areas of art.
“I’m interested in photography and I’m doing a documentary in photography. I’m shooting portraits and trying to show the hard work of people at construction sites.
I’m trying to illustrate their hard work and the dangers of construction work as well.
