Matt Theodore is a Senior Lecturer in Photography who has contributed to the Foundation Diploma program in the capacity of Pathway Leader since 2008. His work as a photographer takes the form of the staged documentary, constructed realities and narratives that invite question from the viewer yet point at no singular answer.
Matt graduated from London College of Communication with a Masters Degree in Photography as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Further Education and a Bachelors Degree in Commercial Photography. Matt’s practice is driven by political and cultural issues in contemporary society expressed through the disciplines of fashion and portrait photography. The journey, often personal explores dreams desire and tension, in a complex re-framing of the familiar. The work has taken the form of commissioned editorial, fashion and narrative portraiture having seen commercial publication in the Sunday Times, Total: Spec magazine, the Independent, and New Shoots as being nominated for the 2007 AOP awards as a finalist.
