DSLR Camera Skills – Saturday Workshop

A fast paced and enjoyable introduction to digital photography.

This dynamic course is suitable for both beginners and those who have a basic understanding of photography, who wish to have greater creative control over their camera and develop an awareness of the vital image-making components relevant to good photography.

Course details

During this 1-day taster workshop you will be introduced to essential camera set-up and explore both the creative and technical possibilities of your camera.

You will learn how to use the various settings and functions by responding to micro-briefs, which will be supplemented by talks and demonstrations by your tutor.

This taster course is the first in a series of specialist Photography programmes, designed to stimulate your appetite and is recommended for anyone who wants to gain a better an understanding of their camera and lens, giving you the skills and knowledge to take better pictures with confidence.

Includes morning coffee/tea and a complimentary lunch.

The course aims to:

  • Provide a technical understanding of camera functions
  • Develop an appreciation of advancing camera technology
  • Develop your appreciation of photography

Tutorials and appraisal will offer you essential guidance and measure overall performance and understanding.

No previous knowledge or experience is required, only a passion to learn and develop within the subject.

A digital camera with access to full manual controls, this should be a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera or a Bridge camera.
