Course Leader – Visual Effects (VFX) for Film and Television

Biography

Sarah became course leader of the BA (Hons) Visual Effects (VFX) for Design and Television course at AUB in June 2018 having worked as a visiting tutor on the course prior to this. She comes to the AUB direct from Vancouver, Canada where she worked in both education and the Visual Effects industry.  

Professional practice

Sarah’s industry experience began in the mid 90’s, working as a GC artist at The Jim Henson’s Creature Shop in London. She later worked at Framestore on the ‘Walking with’ series for the BBC, Electronic Arts on the ‘Skate’ franchise and as Character and Sets Lead for Pixar Canada where she led a team of artists in the creation of numerous Cars and Toy Story Toons, most notably Partysaurus Rex (2012) 
Her catalog of work spans 2 continents and has focused on the areas of computer graphics animation, visual effects, and gaming. Sarah has received 2 Emmy nominations for Outstanding Visual Effects.
