To make a story come true, it has to leave the page. We have to set it free. We are the keepers of our own stories, but the key that unlocks them is not always easy to find… Who am I? Why am I here? What memories will I leave behind?
Second Year BA (Hons) Dance students will perform an original piece of immersive dance theatre entitled, A Letter to My Future Self. The work focuses on identity and the journey of self-discovery.
The BA (Hons) Dance department at AUB is looking forward to welcoming students into state-of-the-art new studios, following major investment on campus.
These light, airy spaces will offer our students the perfect environment to bring their creativity to life.
Wayne Sables is fascinated with the relationships between dance, technology and space, and how they can be used to engage and empower an audience. Through an intensive week’s work, Wayne will be working with the first year BA (Hons) Dance students to create a series of short performance works. Each work will be presented in a different space, exploring a different dance and technology relationship. Live streamed each day, it places the concept of dance performance in a new light.
Earlier today, AUB students met with Darcey Bussell CBE, the former Principal Dancer at the Royal Ballet at Pavilion Dance South West in Bournemouth.
