Students are permitted to complete a maximum of six weeks work experience each academic year. This year a level 5 student completed a very successful gallery internship at Magers London, a leading contemporary art gallery.
Students are encouraged to identify specific specialist areas that they wish to engage with as a future career. This could result in students identifying a specialist practice or Institution, such as a magazine or a post-production digital company for their work experience.
Over the last two years all level 5 students are required to visit photographers, writers and curators in the UK and abroad and complete written case studies as part of their professional practice. The team encourages ambition in the students and visits have included Adam Fuss (New York), Martin Parr (UK), Stephen Gill (UK).
The course team will support relevant work experience.
