Our four-year study option includes an initial introductory year for students who have potential but may benefit from extra skills, experience and knowledge.

The extended study option is a four-year-long degree. It is not a placement degree option or added onto the end of your course.

The first year of this pathway is not a formal qualification. Once you have passed this year, you will automatically progress to the first year of the three-year course.

You’ll be eligible for a student loan and funding – and for accommodation in our halls of residence for the introductory year.

Students who apply for our BA (Hons) Film Production course will be automatically considered for the extended study option, when they apply via UCAS.

Following application and interview, we’ll let you know whether we think the three year course of the four year course would suit you best.

If you are offered the extended study option and you want to decline the offer, you must do this via UCAS.

Please note that places on the extended four year study option are limited.
