Studios and Resources

Studios:

Our dedicated studios are equipped with a range of industry-standard specialist machinery as well as pressing equipment, dress stands and cutting tables. Specialist workshops and equipment can be accessed for the production and manufacture of footwear and accessories. We also have a designated computer suite with fashion-aligned, creative software. 3rd year students have their own facilities to support final year projects, including an integrated studio equipped with pattern cutting tables, industrial sewing machines and a computer suite.

We have two large studios and a seminar and theory room for lectures and tutorials. The Library includes a unique collection of fashion and sub-culture magazines dating from the 1950s to the present day and the Museum of Design in Plastics contains design objects for students to draw and analyse, particularly fashion garments.
