The University Design Challenge invites students from around the world to invent the future fashions of their dreams, with the support of Sophie Hallette. Students are supplied with lace and tulle and encouraged to let their imagination and needles wander.
BA courses collaborate on ‘Creative Match Night’,
The Creative Match Night, due to take place on the 20th October, has been organised by BA (Hons) Make-Up for Media and Performance, BA (Hons) Fashion, BA (Hons) Textiles and BA (Hons) Commercial Photography.
After graduating in 2014, she went on to win the ‘Fashion Styling and Creative Direction’ award at Graduate Fashion Week.
BA (Hons) Fashion have had success at Graduate Fashion Week 2016.
Emily Reid won the Drapers Fashion Publication Award for her project ‘If Not Now’.
Camilla and Holly met whilst studying at AUB and came together six years after graduating to found The Basket Room.
BA (Hons) Fashion students Rebecca Jenkins and Luke Wharton are finalists in the 24th Hempel Award China International Young Fashion Designers Contest.

Caroline is one of Parliament’s best known advocates on body image, and the related subjects of eating disorders and nutrition. She leads as Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Body Image.
AUB will receive recognition for the course at an event in London next week attended by fashion industry and educational leaders and will receive the award at a ceremony at the headquarters of Channel 4.
Arts University Bournemouth have been selected to represent the Best of Graduate Fashion Week at the Houses of Parliament on 5th November.

BA (Hons) Fashion student Isabelle Landicho has been named winner of the Harrods ‘Star of Tomorrow’ Styling Competition.
Isabelle told us about her experience with fashion styling: “Fashion styling was something I never would have gotten into if I had not gone to AUB. It is the talented people I have worked with and the university’s creative atmosphere, that really pushed me to pursue something I love doing.”
BA (Hons) Fashion final year Eleanor Hamilton has been been shortlisted as a finalist for the prestigious Harrod’s ‘Star of Tomorrow Writing’ Competition.
The annual competition aims to scout and nurture emerging British talent, providing a platform to launch their careers in a particularly competitive and dynamic industry. The prize will allow the two winners to get a taste of the world’s most famous department store and its leading publication – the Harrods Magazine.
