I began working at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth as a Technician Tutor in Photography in 2001 and during this time have gained a PGCE and MA in Photography . This year I have had a solo show incorporating moving image, photography, instillation and sound and have contributed to a joint exhibition with other female artists. My practice relates to isolating everyday rituals of domesticity — simple acts, such as sifting flour or hanging out washing, removing them from their familiar environment. This re-staging of quiet rituals amplifies their repetitive and rhythmic qualities. They become meditations on the banal.
