Exploring the material of brick using locally sourced and recycled clays.
Research into architectural embellishment and the connect to ancient weavings and wallhangings, experimental bricks were made using fabric, specially made moulds and a brick making press.

During the term as a part of one of the learning outcomes, a sketchbook must be kept and updated regularly. This includes sketches of the design work that is going on, but also includes sketches of buildings and other things that interest you.

A 1:200 scale final model of Music School project.
Term 2 - Final Model
A final model produced for a music school project in Term 2. It was produced using a varied selection of different media, including hand and laser-cut parts, as well as plasticine. The model is sectional and an ideal medium to represent the spaces within and around the music school.
