This course is designed for potential film editors in School Years 8-11 (or equivalent if home-schooled) with little or no film making experience.
An experienced tutor will harness the Digital Film Editor’s enthusiasm and guide them through the exciting experience of creating a short film.
Through a series of practical workshops, students will gain hands-on experience in writing, filming and editing their own material. The eight-week course will cover several aspects of filmmaking including: shot lists and storyboarding, editing and using YouTube effectively to broadcast completed films.
The tutor will help students to acquire a working understanding of the importance of editing, as well as gaining knowledge of how to put together a short film that looks great.
