Director David Glass, returns to Bournemouth to direct his debut of a devised immersive performance ‘Shining’, inspired by Stephen King’s novel, The Shining and Stanley Kubrick’s film of the same name. The Shining by Stephen King was first published in 1977 and was later released as the film of the same name, directed by Stanley Kubrick and starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall, in 1980.

“I am very excited to be directing this immersive performance of one of the classic horror stories of the 20th century. Setting the performance in this hotel will bring the story to life for the audience; it’s uncannily similar to the Outlook Hotel in The Shining story as they are both closed for winter. I immediately saw the potential of setting the performance in this classic seaside hotel.” David Glass, Director.
