Lost Sands has been selected for screening at Festival Internacional Brasil Stop Motion, from 24th to 28th November in Recife, Brazil.

The festival is in its 5th year running and this year has received 275 films from 46 different countries.

During the festival, national and international films will be screened and there will be a screening with audio description for the blind or people with loss of vision. There will also be a children’s session and a children jury will choose the best Children’s Film of 2015.

Czech director Jan Balej will be the honoured guest and will attend the whole festival. His new film Malá z rybárny (Little from the fish shop) will premiere at the opening of the festival. It is the first time that this stop motion feature film, based on a Hans Christian Andersen fairytale will be screened in South America. Balej will also give a master class for animators and the general public.
