MA Commercial Photography lecturer, Paul Wenham-Clarke, has captured the people of Portland in his project, The Rock: above and below.

Paul’s series of images and interviews explores the lives of the people who live and work in Portland. The work was recently displayed as part of b-side festival on bus stops and billboards as one large scale outdoor gallery.

As part of the project, Paul interviewed the people he photographed, most notably Kitty Fancy, a 99-year-old woman who has lived on Portland her entire life.

The entire collection of interviews can be listened to via SoundCloud.

Paul’s work is on show at White Stones Gallery, Eastern, Portland, Dorset until the 30th Oct.
