A team of students from the first year of the M.Arch have been shortlisted for the TRADA ‘Velocity’ competition.
Team MAAW; William Ardovini, Amy Nash, Arthur Pescher and Matt Waugh, presented their work at Buro Happolds offices in London. The project for a new cycling hub in Sheffield features glue laminated beams, a burnt timber finish and a bar you ride into.
The team’s work was praised by one of the judges, designer Wayne Hemingway, as ‘very striking’ with ‘real identity’. Their film submission was highly praised by Liz Turner the TRADA judge, as ‘very special’. The winners will be announced in October, wheels crossed for the M.Arch team. Their film submission can be seen here.
